Wet'n'Wild Fantasy Makers for Halloween 2012

Hi all! Just twenty days to Halloween...who's excited?! Today I have two Halloween polishes from Wet'n'Wild's Fantasy Makers line with the RIP headstone bottles. As we get closer to Halloween, I'll be showing you some spooky nail art. If you have any specific ideas or suggestions of what you'd like to see for Halloween manicures, leave me a comment. On to the swatches then!

Once Upon A Time is a sheer black base with small and medium sized red glitter. Since the base is so sheer, I layered 2 coat over a coat of black polish. The formula was easy to work with and the glitter wasn't as fussy as I thought it would be. The best part is that the glitter wasn't too hungry as I needed just 1 thick coat of Seche Vite. This polish is possibly a dupe for Deborah Lippmann Ruby Red Slippers, from what I gather.

Rest In Pieces is a sheer black base with purple micro-glitter. The base is darker than in Once Upon A Time, but I still chose to layer 2 coats over a coat of black polish. One coat would work too but the glitter is a lot more prominent after the second coat. The formula was really nice, with good dry time.

I find these polishes so much fun and the bottles just scream Halloween (no pun intended!). What are your thoughts on this collection?

  2. Very pretty!! I have the Lippmann one and it does look very close, it looks more opaque. I'm going to wear that one again soon!
