OPI Big Apple Red

Here's another polish I "borrowed" from my sister for Fall - OPI Big Apple Red. Such a classic, true red creme! Since I'm not quite ready to accept that summer is over, I free-handed some white stripes to it to make it more fun.

Big Apple Red is a deep red creme known for complementing most skin tones. The formula was easy to work with but I did find the dry time exceptionally long. Another drawback is that this polish loves to stain, making cleanup and removal a real pain. I used 3 coats of Big Apple Red with a coat of Seche Vite on top.

What are some of your go-to reds? Ever found a red that isn't stain-central? Thanks for reading!

  1. Right now my go to red is Essie Ole Caliente. It isn't really a true red, but I love wearing it and it has an excellent formula! I love Big Apple Red! It looks so vibrant!

    1. Thank you! The only red I have by Essie is Fifth Avenue. It's pretty good for pedi's!

  3. I love Zoya's America and Kristen. Big apple red is really nice! I haven't found a base coat yet that prevents staining.
