Essie Lapis of Luxury and Owls

Hi everyone! I felt like a change so I filed my nails down super short! I'm haven't had such short nails in a while so I brightened it up with a classic "grurple" (grey purple) - Essie Lapis of Luxury - and some nail art.

Lapis of Luxury is a dusty purple creme with strong grey tones. This polish was my first online nail polish purchase ever as I couldn't find it anywhere in stores. I did see it last week in the Essie display at Walmart, if you're interested. The formula was very watery, making the coats thin and sheer. It was surprisingly easy to build up though and I used 3 coats for full opacity. It also dries extremely glossy but I topped it with a coat of Seche Vite since I was going to add nail art to it.

Owls are my most favourite birds ever and I have way too much owl-themed decor around the house! I did an owl accent nails and a two-toned dotticure on the rest. The polishes I used were: Wet'n'Wild French White and Black Creme, Finger Paints Circus Peanuts, and Essie Sexy Divide

So what do you think of the new, short version of the nails? Hope you enjoyed the nail art! I had great fun doing it :)
