The Hungry Asian: Part 2 Swatches & Review

When I started blogging a couple of months back, I reviewed two polishes by the indie brand, The Hungry Asian. Today, I have three more excellent polishes made by Kae, the creator of the brand. To read about my overall opinion of the brand and of the purchase process, you can read the previous post here.

The Hungry Asian - U Jelly?, Mumbling, Mint Condition

Mumbling is a clear base with a mix of different sizes of gold and silver glitter. This is what I call nail bling! The formula is too perfect to be true, without any of the goopiness I have experienced with most glitter bombs. It wasn't hungry for top coat either and needed just one thick coat of Poshe. Here are 2 coats of Mumbing over 1 thin coat of A England Princess Sabra, topped with 1 coat of Poshe:

Mint Condition is a turquoise creme with blue, red, black, and purple glitter. The formula is easy to build up, requiring 3 coats for opacity while letting the glitter in the layers below peek through. I love the label with the little mint leaf! Here are 3 coats of Mint Condition with 1 coat of Poshe:

U Jelly? is a bright red jelly with small red and magenta glitter. The formula is a delight and gave me no trouble at all. Since it is a jelly, it does take a bunch of coats to get rid of the VNL, something I'm not a big fan of in my manicures. Plenty of people have no problem with it or have nails a lot shorter than mine; they would need 2-3 coats. I used 4 coats for my swatches:

**EDIT** Kae is not moving The Hungry Asian store from Etsy. She is on vacation and will be opening the store soon :) I hope you enjoyed these indie swatches and I would love to hear which one is your favourite!
