OPI Germany Collection Fall 2012: Swatches and Review

I am so excited that my local hair salon received the Germany collection yesterday. I have been waiting to review this collection since I heard about it. In this post, I will review my top 3 picks from this collection: German-icure, Every Month Is Oktoberfest, and Deutsch You Want Me Baby? with a comparison picture for the last one.

German-icure is a burgundy/dark wine red with copper shimmer. This one took me by surprise because it looks ten times better on the nail than in the bottle. The formula was slightly on the thin side and I needed 2 coats for opacity. I had to be very careful with the application as it seems to gravitate towards my cuticles and flood them. Here are 2 coats with 1 coat of Poshe:

Every Month Is Oktoberfest is a dark plum with purple and maroon shimmer. This. Is. Stunning. The formula is a one coater with the lowest dry time of all the OPI's I've ever used. The swatches speak for themselves:

Deutsch You Want Me Baby? is a metallic burnt orange that screams Fall. The formula was a delight to use and opaque in 2 coats. 1 coat would suffice too but the VNL might be visible at certain angles.

OPI Germany 2012: Deutsch You Want Me Baby

I pulled out two similar polishes for a comparison: Zoya Myrta and China Glaze Riveting. Myrta is a lot pinker than the other two while Riveting is a gold shimmering delight . No dupes here but it's nice to see the difference side by side. Here's 2 coats of each:

I love the formula of the three polishes which makes me want to try a couple of the nudes from this collection. I'm so happy to see OPI has got its groove back! Which one is your favourite?

  3. I finally finished the Liebster! Thanks so much for nominated me!

I have to say I'm anti-OPI but this Germany collection is going to make me cave in. Deutsch You Want Me Baby looks like Nina Ultra Pro's Burnished Bronze.
