The Hungry Asian: Belle and Cookies & Cream Swatches and Review

Today’s post is a review of two polishes from an indie brand called The Hungry Asian: Cookies & Cream and Belle. Kae makes wonderful, unique polishes and my experience buying from her etsy shop was flawless. I received my polishes in 5 business days, which is pretty amazing considering they came from L.A. to Toronto. She shipped USPS First Class and provided a tracking number too (so I can continually stalk the package till it gets here). Check out the cute package I received with an even cuter note:

Cookies & Cream is one of my favourite indie polishes. It is a white jelly with matte black micro glitter. Despite being so sheer, it built up opacity well in 3 coats. Kae recommends using it over a white crème base, so I will definitely try that the next time.  Here are swatches with 3 coats of Cookies & Cream topped with 1 coat of Seche Vite:

Belle is another one of Kae’s beautiful white jelly creations. It has small pink hex glitter and larger brown hex glitter. Again, it is recommended to layer this over a white crème. Here are swatches with 3 coats of Belle with 1 coat of Seche Vite:
